Scripture : Zech 3:9, Acts 1:8, etc.
Speaking of a human as God’s temple, we must remember that God originally created a human as his temple and put him in the Garden of Eden so that his spirit of life would flow to the whole world. Such was Adam’s role as a priest and placed in the Garden of Eden, out of which four rivers flowed, watering the earth.
… the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. Now the LORD God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed (Gen 2:7-8).
The place where this breath of life is the outlet from which water flows out, and it is the foundation with springs on which you are built as a temple. With this picture, reread the following Scripture and apply it to yourself.
See, the stone I have set in front of Joshua! There are seven eyes (springs) on that one stone, and I
will engrave an inscription on it—says the LORD Almighty (of hosts)—and I will remove the sin of this land in a single day (Zech 3:9).
Do not think of yourself as someone appointed to be a religious priest with whom you are unfamiliar, but rather see yourself as someone whom God originally created you. Every human is a priest. Yet, sin has prevented you from living as a priest. But God removed sin once for all and placed a stone within you, from which the streams of living water flow. Do not think it strange to have water coming out of a stone or rock. Moses hit the rock with his staff and let water come out of it. It is a picture of the temple in Jerusalem with Gihon spring underneath it. A temple with no water coming from it is not a temple but an empty house and idol. A temple corresponds to the Garden of Eden. All humans were created as temples of God.
