Toshikazu san came about 10 minutes early today. He had a number of questions regarding Kaoru san, so we talked about her, not overly specifically for a bit, to him, and then started from 19:30. We read the end of 1 Corinthians 15, talking how death was swallowed up by victory.<\/p>\n
We then went into two groups, adults and kids, as before. Today, we read through a number of parts of Matthew, focusing on the cross, and how Jesus mentioned it many times to the disciples, and yet they didn\u2019t understand. Toshikazu san did not know much about Peter the disciple, and so we went into who he was. We then went over parts of Matthew 26 and Luke 22, focusing briefly on the Last Supper, bd then on how Peter denied Jesus. Toshikazu san was quite interested (quite taken by) how Peter denied him, after he had so expressed devotion to him. We then thought together what Peter was doing while Jesus was crucified. Peter (Morris) thought that Peter locked himself in a room afraid, but Toshikazu san said he likely was watching the whole scene. Daniel said that if we were in Peter\u2019s place, would we have been different? Toshikazu san said he would have done as Peter did. We talked about how Jesus forgave us of all this.<\/p>\n
We then sang the second sanbi, and prayed, especially for Kaoru san to be blessed this coming Sunday. We briefly had some snack at the end, and Toshikazu san left after 21:00 today.<\/p>\n
